The mission of Lowell Observatory is to pursue the study of astronomy,
especially the study of our solar system and its evolution; to conduct
pure research in astronomical phenomena; and to maintain quality
public education and outreach programs to bring the results of astronomical

The Museum of Northern Arizona’s Discovery 2007 is a gateway

Canyon Railway
Made its first journey to the Grand Canyon in 1901, long before
Arizona was dubbed the "Grand Canyon State."Today, you
can travel to Grand Canyon National Park along the same rail line
your parents or grandparents did. Select from one of five vintage
classes of service which have been lovingly restored.

Arboretum at Flagstaff
Home to one of the largest collections of high country wildflowers
in America. Guided tours daily; 2,500 species of high-elevation
plants; overr 100 species of irds sighted; several miles of trails
to explore; greenhouse and gift shop; and classes and workshops
on gardening and natural history.
